This date might bring fear and dread for some, but its never been unlucky for me. I even own a black cat, and I love him to pieces. He’s one of the sweetest pets I’ve ever owned.
My mother, Rose however, was very superstitious. As kids and even as grown children we were forbidden to open an umbrella in the house, have birds– like parakeets. We never kneeled in front of her, and you always had to leave by the same door you entered her home. I’m sure those things were passed down from her parents and their parents before them.

Black cats are beautiful and on Pinterest I have a black cat board. I do because cats are not evil and they are lucky. Black cats are associated with witches and witches are not people when you get to know them. It is just a different way of life. Not like the norm. Black cats can not speak out, so that is why am doing it. Twice a year is not enough. I do it every day. I am proud that I am doing this. Other people do it too and that is good because I am not alone on this.
